The Three Drinkers return to Amazon Prime

The Three Drinkers will be popping open more booze on Amazon Prime this December.

“To date we’ve had quite the adventure. We’ve learnt the art of herding reindeer, cut fresh peat from the bogs of Islay and I even made Helena and Colin taste local delicacies like festy cock.” – Aidy Smith

Dynamic presenting trio The Three Drinkers – Aidy Smith, Helena Nicklin and Colin Hampden-White – will be returning to screens in early December 2019 with part two of The Three Drinkers do Scotch Whisky on Amazon Prime. The new episodes will see the friends return to Scotland with an exciting new format, stunning locations and brand new partners including The Dalmore, Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Fettercairn Highland Single Malt, Glen Scotia, Glen Moray, Loch Lomond Distillery and Firkin Gin.

The travelogue series went live in November 2018 and is now available in 167 countries and territories worldwide, in 30 languages. Hailed as the ‘Top Gear of Drinks’ by critics, it’s the natural chemistry of the trio that sets them apart as they embark on their Scottish adventure leading it to be embraced by both consumers and trade alike.

“The show was outstanding, the reach and appeal of the The Three Drinkers on Amazon Prime creates opportunities for us to promote our products globally, creating entertaining and informative content that aligns with our brand message,” – Kirsten Grant Meikle, Director of William Grant and Sons and 5th Generation of the family who partnered with the trio for Part ome of the series.

Produced, presented and owned by the trio themselves, The Three Drinkers TV Series took an unconventional route to screen. “Having worked in the wine and spirits world for over 35 years collectively, we saw an opportunity to create a brand new kind of show about drinks,” says Hampden-White. “Instead of waiting years to produce a show on conventional TV, we decided to take things into our own hands, allowing us to create and air our series in just seven short months.”

It’s this method that has allowed the trio to quickly grow beyond the screen as they now work with brands across all drinks categories, not just Scotch, on a daily basis with their production company.

“We’ve been blown away by how well the series has done in such a short time. We’re looking forward to playing up the fun side of our travels with more experimentation with food and drink, eerie ghost stories, ridiculous challenges and all the weird and wonderful tidbits people never knew about Scotland and whisky.” – Helena Nicklin
