Blake Lively Looking Forward To New Challenges

Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively has said she is looking forward to new challenges once The CW drama series ends.

The actress plays socialite Serena Van Der Woodson in the teen drama which was renewed earlier this month for a sixth and final season. It was originally stated the final season of Gossip Girl would consist of 11 episodes though it has since been claimed the series may run longer if producers need more episodes to wrap up the storylines.

With the end of Gossip Girl in sight actress Blake Lively has said she’s looking forward to new challenges. Lively told Bullett ‘It’ll be bittersweet when it’s over,….I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and I’m a senior and I can’t wait for the next thing!  Gossip Girl was so great, but what’s the next challenge in life? Because, you know, six years is a long time”.

Lively also told Bullett she didn’t feel her work on Gossip Girl was her ‘best’. ‘I don’t think I’d say, ‘Watch Gossip Girl for my best quality of work’…But I am very lucky to have had that experience.‘

Lively will doubtless be hoping to focus on her film career once Gossip Girl ends. In 2011 she appeared in the film Green Lantern and also appeared in other films such as Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and its sequel.
