Keeley Hawes for ‘blackly comic’ ITV drama

Keeley Hawes is to star in a six-part contemporary drama for ITV.

The Bodyguard star takes on the titular role of Alice in Finding Alice.

ITV describe the series as the ‘blackly comic journey’ Alice goes on after the death of her husband, Harry. Harry’s unprepared for demise kicks up a storm of secrets and mess, debt, suspicion and criminality which Alice is forced to confront in order to survive.

Harry dies after falling down the stairs when he and Alice move into their newly finished dream house.

Harry settled upon the house’s design and quirks and being left to acclimatise to it alone adds to Alice’s sense of loss and abandonment. However, being unable to open the garage doors is the least of her problems…

The series was created by Roger Goldby, Keeley Hawes and Simon Nye and will be produced by Red Production Company in association with Bright Pictures TV, Buddy Club Productions and Genial Productions.
