E4 goes in search for presenters, actors or comedians
E4 searches for the ‘new faces’ of tomorrow.
“We are really looking forward to heading out across the nation to find the new faces of E4. I’m excited that through these pop-up events in Liverpool, Birmingham and London we’ll be able to raise awareness of this ambitious search and most importantly meet fresh faces.” – Nick Bedu, Head of Production, Fully Focused
E4 has launched a search to find the new on-screen faces of the future, led by production company Fully Focused. As part of this search, the channel is heading out across the UK to meet the budding stars of the future and to encourage individuals to get involved.
The talented faces of the future can show their skills at three events, one in the north, one in the midlands and one in the south. The first takes place this coming weekend in Liverpool on Saturday 26th October at St John’s Shopping Centre (entrance) 10am – 5pm.
Stars of the future from Liverpool are to be discovered.
The next event follows on Sunday, October 27th in Birmingham at the Rotunda Square, Bullring Centre, 11am – 5.30pm and the final event in London on Saturday, November 2nd at Carnaby Street from 11am – 5.30pm.
Across these pop-up events, E4 and Fully Focused are hoping to reach out to some of the promising unique talent in the local area – whether it be presenters, actors or comedians. They are looking for talent from across a range of diverse backgrounds and prior broadcast experience isn’t required. There will be opportunities for passers by to register interest, take part in some interactive activities and if they’re feeling especially confident, even film a short audition to camera!
Bright new things in Birmingham are to be found.
If hopeful entrants are based in Liverpool, Manchester or surrounding areas on 26th Oct or Birmingham, Coventry, Nottingham and surrounding areas on 27th Oct, the broadcaster urges anyone keen to be ‘discovered’ pop along. Anyone who can’t make it on the day, applications can be accessed here. To apply for the search applicants must do so online and be 18 years old or over.
Through the search, successful applicants will be given training to help with their development, and a selected group will then be given exposure on E4, which could see them involved across digital content, social media, in-vision continuity or starring in new shows.
“We want to find, develop and nurture a new wave of talent, so if you think you’re the next big thing, then we’d love to meet you.” – Nick Bedu, Head of Production, Fully Focused
