Arrested Development to be revived?

Arrested Development could be heading back to television as its revealed a revival is on the cards.

For some years now there has been talk about a possible Arrested Development movie but out of the blue the possibility of a television revival has emerged. Various media outlets are reporting that such a revival could take place – yes the Fox comedy could well be heading back to television. As always though there’s a catch – the revival at the moment is only planned to be nine or ten episodes long designed to allow viewers to catch up with the characters from the popular comedy.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the producers of Arrested Development are in talks with Showtime and Netflix over the possible revival. Series star Jason Bateman tweeted on Twitter “It’s true, We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ’13.” The news is sure to delight fans of the comedy but then they’ve been waiting for the movie for some time now so they will now be wondering how long they’ll have to wait for the new series and more important just who will be returning.
