Andrew Lloyd Webber slams The Voice acts as ‘out of tune’
Lord Lloyd Webber has hit out at rival talent show ahead of this weekend’s launch of Superstar.
Webber, in an interview with the Radio Times, spoke about The Voice UK which has recently finished its first series on BBC One. The Voice hit the headlines earlier this year as ratings began to drop during the live shows.
A second series will hit our screens next year.
“Everyone was out of tune all the time. I just couldn’t watch it. When people sing out of tune, I just can’t listen.” – Lloyd Webber
His new show on ITV 1 will see him sit alongside Jason Donovan and Dawn French search for a Jesus to star in the musical. The first episode of Superstar airs Saturday 7th July at 7.25pm.
