CNN slow to report Armstrong death
CNN has been criticised for its slow reporting on the death of Neil Armstrong.
The first man to walk on the moon in 1969 died Saturday following complications from surgery. His death was first reported by NBC who broke into afternoon programming. This was quickly followed by other news outlets including here in the UK.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that it took CNN over 40 minutes to break into coverage to report the death of an American icon. The first 24 hour news channel has seen viewers tune out over the years, choosing rivals Fox News and MSNBC for their news.
