Julian Clary wins Celebrity Big Brother

Comedian Julian Clary has been crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother.
The iconic 80s comedian had been favourite in the run up to the final this evening. Former Loose Women panelist Coleen Nolan finished in second place. Her former colleague Denise Welch won the previous series back in January.
Upon hearing the news Julian joked that he didn’t want any fireworks when leaving the house. He looked visibly moved when he finally did leave the house as the winner, embraced by a chorus of cheers and fireworks.
Earlier in the evening first housemate out tonight was MC Harvey. He was followed by London 2012 Team GB Olympian Ashley McKenzie and Michel ‘The Situation’ Sarrentino , pictured below, who finished in fourth place.

Martin Kemp ended up in third place and left the house to a chorus of cheers from the crowd. He admitted in his interview with host Brian Dowling that he wasn’t as truthful as he would have been during face to face nominations if they had always been in the diary room.

The evicted housemates from this series, including Julie Goodyear and Danica Thrall, all appeared on stage together at the beginning of tonight’s show. There had been press speculation that security had been stepped up following tension between some of the female housemates.
