Les Misérables for Alexandra Burke

Last night, Alexandra Burke took to the stage to perform a unique collaboration with cast members from the West End show Les Misérables for BBC Children in Need POP Goes the Musical.

Following the curtain call, X Factor winner Alexandra Burke took to the stage and gave the lucky audience members a night to remember by belting out a stunning rendition of ‘On My Own’

Alexandra said: “That was amazing! I’m so excited to be part of BBC Children In Need this year. It’s an amazing cause and helps so many people. I was absolutely blown away by Les Misérables when I saw the show and to join the cast of one of the West End’s most famous musicals was a real honour.”

BBC Children in Need POP Goes the Musical 2012 is working with the best of West End Theatre and a star-studded line up. This unique charity project is giving renowned celebrities from the music sphere the chance to perform a hit song with a top show on select dates throughout September, October and November to help raise vital funds for disadvantaged children and young people here in the UK.

The show-stopping celebrities involved in these series of unique curtain calls are; the handsome Blue boys performing in JERSEY BOYS, the spicy Geri Halliwell will be ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ and soul sensation Macy Gray will be performing in Thriller Live alongside girl group of the moment Stooshe.
