J.J Abrams developing drama for The CW
J.J Abrams is developing a hotel based drama for The CW with One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the broadcaster has given a script commitment to Abrams project. The drama, titled Maine, would be set in an Inn in the town of the same name. One Tree Hill’s Mark Schwahn will write the pilot and will act as executive producer alongside Abrams. The project has been given the script go-ahead by The CW’s new president Mark Pedowitz who previously worked with Abrams at ABC.
As yet The CW has only committed to a script order; it has not commissioned a pilot. Maine is the second drama that Abrams has in development; he’s working with Eric Kripke – creator of The CW’s Supernatural – on the action series Revolution for NBC.
