Stephen Fry to chart human history

The History channel is to air an epic six part mini-series narrated by Stephen Fry which tells the story of humankind.Each 120 minute edition will cover events from the creation of the planet billions of years ago, to the emergence of the first human species and evolution of man. The broadcaster describe the series as an ambitious documentary which will present a new perspective on world history, delving into the heart of our existence and unearthing the rise of an unlikely hero, mankind.

The series will present the facts that humans are amazing. Where 99.9% of other species have perished throughout history, the human race has continuously struggled to overcome obstacles and adapt to changing environments in order to thrive. This is a tale of resilience. The survival of the fittest against insurmountable odds. This is the story of a superhero: mankind.
