Capital Radio and Heart FM launch TV Channels
From the long running music radio stations come Capital TV and Heart TV which will play back-to-back music videos.
Capital is known as the UK’s Number 1 Hit Music Station which was one of the first independent radio broadcasters launching back in October 1973 in London. Capital’s playlist is the best of todays chart music while the home of More Music Variety, Heart Radio launched in the Midlands in 1994 and plays a range of music from the 80s onwards.
The two music video channels, which launched today, will follow the same music format as the radio originals.
“Capital TV and Heart TV represent the next generation in music television with Capital bringing you videos from the worlds biggest hit music artists and Heart reminding you of some of the greatest videos ever made.” The company state.
“Viewers can expect the same high level of quality music and content that they’re used to getting on the radio. Both channels will play non-stop music videos 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Expect to see some exclusive bits and pieces too, with performances from Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball, back stage chatter and interviews that will bring you closer to the artists than ever before.”
Both channels are available on Sky: Heart 387, Capital 388, Freesat: Heart 516, Capital 517 and online at capitalfm.com and heart.co.uk and will also be available on the respective iPhone and iPad Apps
Last year Capital expanded into a ‘network’ station, with regional breakfast and drive time shows, when eight regional franchises, such as Galaxy, originally a dance music station, were re-branded into the single network.
