Invisible Wounded documented by Ross Kemp
Actor turned presenter Ross Kemp is to present Invisible Wounded for Sky 1 in an hour long one-off documentary that will explore the devastating effects of mental illness on those who have served in the military.
With an estimated 1-in-4 war veterans suffering from depression, addiction or violent outbursts, Ross speaks to those affected, their families the experts, asking what can and is being done to support our service personnel and prevent further suffering. With this latest documentary the broadcaster hopes to tackle the subject of the post-traumatic stress disorder that threatens those working in the forces today.

The former Emmerdale and EastEnders actor has hosted a string of critically acclaimed documentaries, including Ross Kemp in search of Piarates, Ross Kemp on Gangs, Ross Kemp Middle East and the BAFTA Award winning Ross Kemp on Gangs broadcast on Sky. His latest outing was announced in June.
Ross Kemp: “For over a decade the nation has witnessed the very visible scars and damage war has had on troops and support workers, but this is not the case of hidden effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and associated conditions.
“The haunting trauma of war can be carried with these people for many years. I hope this documentary made for Sky 1 will go some way to address the issues, stigmas and ways in which we can help those suffering, safeguarding them for the future.”
Following on from Remembrance Sunday, Kemp’s latest documentary for Sky will air on Monday 12 November at 9pm.
