The CW Orders More Beauty and the Beast Scripts

The CW has ordered additional scripts of new dramas Beauty and the Beast and Emily Owens M.D.
The orders for additional scripts come after the broadcaster ordered a full season of its hit new drama Arrow. The drama, starring Stephen Amell, has proven to be a ratings hit for The CW so its quick season pick up is no surprise.
So far though ratings have been modest for both Beauty and the Beast and Emily Owens M.D but the fact The CW has ordered three additional scripts, for each drama, is a sign of confidence in the series’.
Beauty and the Beast is a ‘re-imaging’ of the CBS series, of the 1980s, rather than the Disney film. The drama stars Kristen Kreuk, Jay Ryan and Max Brown. Emily Owens M.D stars Mamie Gummer, Justin Hartley and Michael Rady.
