ABC Orders Full Seasons Of Scandal and Neighbors
ABC has announced it has given full season orders to political drama Scandal and comedy Neighbors.
The broadcaster has ordered an additional nine episodes of Shonda Rhimes drama Scandal which takes the series up to 22 episodes for its second season. ABC didn’t originally pick up Scandal for a full 22 episode second season because of its modest performance for its first season. The back-order for nine episodes from ABC will mean the drama’s second season will actually be its first full length season.
Meanwhile new comedy Neighbors has also been given a back-order for additional episodes for the first season. The comedy hasn’t been the disaster many predicted it would be for the broadcaster which is probably why it has been given more episodes despite not being the best rated series in ABC’s Wednesday night comedy line-up – the ratings it has achieved have been higher than widely predicted.
Meanwhile 666 Park Avenue fans will have to wait a little longer to find out the fate of the supernatural drama.
