E4 confirms PhoneShop return

Critically acclaimed comedy series PhoneShop will soon be returning to E4, it has been confirmed.

Six thirty minute episodes of the show will air on the network early next year.

Head of Comedy, Nerys Evans said: “We’re thrilled we’re going to be spending more time with Sutton’s finest sales team. The economy is clearly in safe hands with the PhoneShop crew’s dedication to shifting units while attempting to run the high street.
Writer, director and producer Phil Bowker added, “Oh shit, I’d better get writing. Has anyone got a pen I can borrow?”

Phoneshop is set in a high street mobile phone store in Sutton and stars Martin Trenaman, Javone Prince, Andrew Brooke, Emma Fryer and Tom Bennett.
The show began as a stand-alone pilot in 2009 as part of Channel 4’s ‘Comedy Showcase’ strand before six episodes were commissioned to air on E4 in 2010.
