STV goes creative for Cupid
An advertising campaign devised by STV Creative will be used to promote a specialist dating website internationally. The first time the Scotland based firm has produced a package for use outside of the UK.
Stephen O’Donnell, director of STV Creative, says, “This campaign is a fantastic example of creative ideas that work across different cultures and countries. STV Creative has a strong track record of producing innovative campaigns for clients across the UK and working with Cupid Plc gives us an exciting opportunity to take our work global.”
The TV adverts for loveagain.com, a website for over 40s looking for love, will be shown in Australia, as well as the UK and Ireland, to promote the site to potential users.
The campaign includes one 30 second and two 40 second adverts. The promos will also be displayed across all of Cupid’s social networking sites and the campaign is supported by online activity, including display ads targeted to mature singles (Adult 40+). A loveagain.com Facebook App also been launched.
This is the first campaign by STV Creative to be utilised by a client outside the UK and adverts will be on screen from today. The campaign was commissioned by Cupid plc marketing team from their Edinburgh head office.
Cupid CEO Bill Dobbie says that “The new site is designed specifically for the older dating market and as with most dating sites users can search for love, friendship or fun. It’s an identifiable market and a niche approach from LoveAgain can target the gaps – the hope is that by selecting a specific group for dating, that matches will be more accurate.”
STV Creative is an in-house team working across multi platforms, including TV, radio, print, digital, sponsorship, ad funded programs and augmented reality. STV operates two ITV regions in Scotland, STV North and STV Central. The company has been on air since 1959.
