Syfy announces Caprica air-date

Syfy has announced it will air the remaining five episodes of Caprica, the axed prequel to Battlestar Galactica, in one back-to-back block on January 4th 2011.

Syfy has announced it will air the remaining five episodes of Caprica, the axed prequel to Battlestar Galactica, in one back-to-back block on January 4th 2011. Syfy confirmed Caprica had been axed a few weeks ago due to low ratings which had fallen well below the 1 million mark since it returned for its mid-season break. The prequel was pulled from the schedules with five episodes still remaining to be aired.

Syfy has now announced the remaining five episodes will air in one block on Tuesday 4th January 2011, all in one evening. Caprica starred Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales, Paula Malcolmson, Alessandra Torresani, Magda Apanowicz, Sasha Roiz and Polly Walker. The series was set 50 years before the events of Battlestar Galactica and chronicled the rise of the Cylons in the 12 colonies of Kobol. Syfy has commissioned a new spin-off from Battlestar Galactica, Blood and Chrome.
