Emmett Scanlan to leave Hollyoaks
Emmett Scanlan is to leave Hollyoaks later this year in what is promised will be a dramatic exit.
Scanlan, who portrays bad boy Brendan Brady, will bow out from the Chester based soap in March. Speaking to Digital Spy he thanked his fans saying they were the “greatest fans he could ever wish for”.
He joined the soap in 2010 and has been at the centre of some of the biggest storylines over recent years including battling with his sexuality and his abusive relationship with Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson).
In the past week he ordered his friend Joel Dexter (Andrew Still) to kill his father Seamus after he arrived in the village.
Last night on E4, viewers would have seen two others characters leave the show – click here for more.
