Criminal Minds returns to Sky Living

Sky LivingUS crime drama Criminal Minds returns for its eighth season airing on Sky Living HD later this month.
Following the departure of Emily Prentiss at the end of season seven, the Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU) welcomes Emmy Award-nominated actress Jeanne Tripplehorn, of Basic Instinct fame, as expert linguist Alex Blake. Despite having previous dealings with the bureau, Blake proves to be something of an enigma to her colleagues, as they continue to analyse the country’s most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their every move before they strike again.
The season premiere sees the team tackle a case in which a Texas prisoner escapes during a transfer and consequently is free to terrorise new victims, branding them by sewing their mouths shut. This was in fact the signature of’ The Silencer’, a murderer who was never found and hasn’t struck in years. Will the newcomer be able to handle the challenges of the BAU? Only time will tell.
Matthew Grey as Dr. Spencer Reid will also take on a different role in this brand new series as he once again steps behind the camera to direct an episode of the show.
Criminal Minds airs from Monday the 28th January at 9pm on Sky Living
