Final ratings for premier of Torchwood: Miracle Day pushes figures to over 6 million

Final figures are far more accurate than the widely reported overnight figures because they take into account those who recorded the programme to watch later. Final figures are always higher therefore than the overnight figure – sometimes by several million. Final ratings for the opening episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day on BBC One reveal that 6.6 million people tuned in – that compares with 4.8 million overnight figure. So that means that nearly 2 million more people watched Torchwood than originally thought and these figures DO NOT include those who watched via the BBC iPlayer – which will boost Torchwood‘s ratings even further.
