Final ratings for premier of Torchwood: Miracle Day pushes figures to over 6 million

Torchwood Miracle Day{jcomments on}Final ratings for the first episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day on BBC One reveal well over 6 million viewers tuned in.

Final figures are far more accurate than the widely reported overnight figures because they take into account those who recorded the programme to watch later. Final figures are always higher therefore than the overnight figure – sometimes by several million. Final ratings for the opening episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day on BBC One reveal that 6.6 million people tuned in – that compares with 4.8 million overnight figure. So that means that nearly 2 million more people watched Torchwood than originally thought and these figures DO NOT include those who watched via the BBC iPlayer – which will boost Torchwood‘s ratings even further.

Torchwood continues on Thursday evening at 9pm on BBC One and Friday evening, in America, on Starz. You can watch a trailer for the next episode here >>
