Olly Murs To Perform On 90210

X Factor runner-up Olly Murs is to perform two songs on the American teen drama series 90210.

Entertainment Weekly report that Murs will appear in an episode of The CW’s 90210 scheduled to air in April. The singer will perform two of his songs on the drama; Troublemaker and Right Place, Right Time.

American viewers will be mostly unfamiliar with Olly Murs and his music career but the musician has a popular fan base in the UK. Murs first came to the public’s attention in the sixth series of the X Factor in 2009. The Essex singer came second in the competition losing to Joe McElderry but beating fellow finalist Stacey Solomon. As with other runners-up Murs has gone on to enjoy considerable success post-X Factor.

As well as continuing with his music career Murs has also turned his hand at presenting; he presents the ITV2 X Factor spin-off series the Xtra Factor which gives fans a behind-the-scenes look as the entertainment show and includes interviews with the guests and finalists.
