Doctor Who: The Wedding of River Song – Ratings

The sixth season finale of Doctor Who – The Wedding of River Song – pulled in over 6 million viewers.

Despite the hot spell viewers tuned in for the stunning season finale which answered some of the questions surrounding the season long story-arc such as how the Doctor (Matt Smith) would escape his death seen in The Impossible Astronaut. According to overnight figures The Wedding of River Song was seen by 6.1 million viewers. The final ratings figure – which will be released in ten days time – will be significantly higher as it will take into account those who recorded the episode and watched later.
