Sarah Jane Adventures nominated for BAFTA Children's Awards

The Sarah Jane Adventures CBBC drama The Sarah Jane Adventures has once again been nominated in the 2011 BAFTA Children’s Awards.

The Doctor Who spin-off, which starred the late Elisabeth Sladen, has once more been nominated for the Best Drama gong and this year is up against Just William, Combat Kids and House of Anubis. While the series has been nominated in the same category several times before it has yet to win it. The Sarah Jane Adventures is also nominated in the Best Writer category for Phil Ford, the lead writer on the series.

The fifth and final season of The Sarah Jane Adventures concluded its three-story run on the CBBC Channel last week. Following the death of actress Elisabeth Sladen earlier this year the BBC has no plans for further seasons.

This year’s award ceremony will be held on Sunday 27th November in London. Voting is now open until Friday 25th November, you can cast your votes at baftakidsvote.org.
