McCluskie jury retires to consider verdict
A jury has retired to consider its verdict in the Gemma McCluskie murder trial.
Tony McCluskie has admitted killing his 29 year old sister whose body parts were recovered from Regent’s Canal – however denies murder.
McCluskie, 35, from Shoreditch, East London insists he has no idea what happened after grabbing hold of his sister.
The prosecution alleges that McCluskie attacked his sister and beat her to death after she asked him to move out of their flat because he had left the taps running. The pair had also clashed over the defendant’s use of cannabis the court heard.
The body of former actress Gemma, who once appeared in EastEnders, was identified via dental records.
