NBC’s Do No Harm Flops In Ratings

NBC‘s new thriller series Do No Harm starring Steven Pasquale and Ruta Gedmintas flopped in the ratings on Thursday evening with a little over 3 million viewers tuning in.

The thriller’s ratings certainly didn’t do any harm to its competition at 10pm as the premier of the “Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” style series failed to grab the attention of viewers. Overnight figures reveal that just 3.1 million viewers tuned in with a 18-49 rating of 0.9.

At 8pm last night American Idol was beaten by CBS powerhouse that is The Big Bang Theory. Once upon a time it might have been unthinkable that any series would top Idol in the ratings but on Thursday evening that happened. The Fox talent competition pulled in 13.7 million viewers with a 4.5 18-49 rating; that compares with 15.5 million viewers and a 5.4 18-49 rating for Wednesday night’s episode. The Big Bang Theory meanwhile had 17.5 million viewers and a huge 5.3 18-49 rating with Two and a Half Men following at 8.30 which had 13.7 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.

The series finale of Tina Fey’s comedy 30 Rock had 4.8 million viewers for NBC at 8pm while supernatural series The Vampire Diaries pulled in 2.5 million viewers with a 1.3 18-49 rating. ABC‘s repeat of Shark Tank mustered 4.5 million viewers but had a 1.1 rating making it bottom of the hour in terms of that all important demograph.

At 9pm Person of Interest on CBS attracted 15.6 million viewers with a 3.2 18-49 rating. NBC’s double-bill of The Office meanwhile had 4.4 million viewers with a 2.1 18-40 rating and 4 million viewers with a 1.9 18-49 rating for its second episode. Shonda Rhimes’ medical drama Grey’s Anatomy was seen by 8.7 million viewers with a 2.8 18-49 rating while Glee on Fox attracted 5.5 million viewers with a 2.1 18-49 rating. The hour was rounded off by Beauty and the Beast on The CW which had 1.7 million viewers with a 0.7 18-49 rating.

At 10pm ABC’s Scandal pulled in 8.1 million viewers while CBS’ Elementary was seen by 10.8 million viewers with a 2.2 18-40 rating. As noted above NBC’s Do No Harm flopped.
