Once Upon A Time starts with 2 million viewers
Fantasy drama Once Upon A Time launched on Channel Five last night to more than 2 million viewers.
The American drama starring Gennifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison made an impressive debut on Channel Five. The drama, which blends different fairy tales together, launched with 2 million viewers at 8pm with a further 230,000 watching an hour later via the time-shift channel giving Once Upon A Time a combined figure of 2.2 million viewers. It was a good night all around for Channel Five with a broadcast of Mrs Doubtfire, prior to Once Upon A Time, pilling in 1.3 million viewers while Rush Hour 2 had 1.2 million viewers at 9pm.
Julian Fellowes four-part take on the sinking of the Titanic dropped to 4.3 million viewers on ITV1 at 9pm – sinking from its impressive launch last week. The return of Silent Witness, starring Emilia Fox, to BBC One for a new series had 6.7 million viewers. Elsewhere at 9pm Homeland on Channel Four, starring Damien Lewis, fell to just under 2 million viewers.
