Ratings For The Following Continue To Fall

Kevin Bacon in The FollowingKevin Bacon and James Purefoy’s new Fox drama series The Following saw another drop in ratings on Monday evening while The CW‘s teen drama 90210 saw ratings fall even further increasing its likelihood of being axed.

At 8pm CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother pulled in 9 million viewers with a 3.2 18-49 rating and was followed by Rules of Engagement which attracted 8.3 million viewers but had a 3.5 18-49 rating. ABC‘s two-hour block of The Bachelor commanded 8.3 million viewers with a 2.7 18-49 rating while a two-hour edition of The Biggest Loser on NBC was seen by 5.4 million viewers with a 2.0 rating. Fox drama Bones meanwhile had 8.7 million viewers and a 2.2 rating. The CW’s freshman drama The Carrie Diaries saw a slight fall in ratings with 1.3 million viewers and a 0.6 18-49 rating.

At 9pm The Following slipped to 7.7 million viewers with a 2.4 18-49 rating; last week’s edition had 8.9 million viewers with a 2.9 18-49 rating. However, it is worth noting that the Kevin Bacon drama does add considerably viewers onto its figures through DVR. 2 Broke Girls on CBS had 10.7 million viewers with a 3.5 18-49 rating followed by Mike & Molly which had 10.3 million and a 2.9 rating. The hour was rounded off by teen drama 90210 on The CW which had just 670,000 viewers; with figures like that the resurrected 1990s series is heading the scrap-heap.

At 10pm Hawaii Five-0 on CBS was seen by 9.4 million viewers with a 2.1 rating while ABC’s Castle had 8.9 million viewers and a 2.0 rating. NBC’s low-rated, soon to be cancelled (in all honesty) series Deception had 3.3 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating.
