Rachelle Lefevre Joins Under the Dome

Rachelle Lefevre is the latest casting announced for CBS’s forthcoming drama Under the Dome.

The summer drama series is adapted from the novel by Stephen King and production is currently underway. Over the past few weeks there’s been several casting announcements and the addition of Rachelle Lefevre to the cast is the latest.

Entertainment Weekly report the actress will play the character of Julia, an investigative journalist and is described as the “female lead”.

Lefevre played vampire Victoria Sutherland in the first two Twilight films but the character was re-cast due to scheduling conflicts. The actress appeared in Shonda Rhimes’ short-lived medical series Off the Map and fellow CBS drama A Gifted Man.

Under the Dome will also star True Blood actress Aisha Hinds as well as Britt Robertson, Mike Vogel, Colin Ford, Natalie Martinez, Alex Koch and Nicholas Strong.
