Mark Owen goes from Take That to Bake That

Singer Mark Owen is just one of a long line of celebrities to ‘Shine’ with his cooking skills at the Wandsworth cake shop ‘You Make A Cake.’

The cupcake shop which is designed to host cupcake parties has already seen a cake-loving celebrity following. Stars such as Hugh Grant, Cherie Lunghi and Lord Charlie Brocket have all dropped in for a cupcake.

Take That’s Mark Owen spent Saturday morning with a  few pals baking with the You Make a Cake team. The ‘Babe’ singer made a selection of vanilla and chocolate cup cakes.

“We were thrilled to have Mark in baking and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Mark’s cakes looked superb!” Said the shop founder Emma Hollands.

Launched in 2010, the cake shop aims to provide an alternative party and cooking concept in London.

Take That are currently on a two-year break following the hugely successful Progress Live tour, which saw the one-time “boy band” appear in sell-out gigs in stadiums across Europe, bandmate Gary Barlow is of course currently proving to be a popular judge on the UK’s X Factor music talent show.
