Peter Andre to host the 2011 Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s Collars & Coats Gala Ball

Peter Andre is to host this years Collars & Coats Gala Ball for Battersea Dogs and Cats home. The annual event plays host to many star names.

The countdown has begun to one of the most star-studded red carpet events of the year when celebrities turn out in support of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s major fundraiser on 11th November held inside the iconic Battersea Evolution.

The Guard of Honour will be, as usual, made up of dozens of Battersea dogs on the Red Carpet as stars including Martine McCutcheon, Brix Smith Smart, Kate Walsh, Craig Revel-Horwood, Ester Rantzen, Nicky Clarke, Jasmine Harman and Prunella Scales attend this years event.

The Collars & Coats ball will be in the presence of the Home’s President TRH Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. The event celebrates the Battersea Dogs and Cats home and the work it carries out caring for thousands of lost, abandoned and unwanted animals. This years event host is ITV celebrity and popstar Peter Andre, who can be seen regularly on ITV2 in his own series – Peter Andre: The Next Chapter.

During the event revellers will also have the opportunity to bid in an exclusive money-can’t-buy auction with an array of luxury, bespoke gifts donated by some of the Home’s supporters. The Ball will raise vital funds to ensure that Battersea’s important work in rescuing and rehoming unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats continue.
