Ratings for the 12th season of the Fox talent series continue to drop each week with Wednesday evening’s episode falling to a new low.

Overnight figures reveal the two-hour edition had 14.2 million viewers for Fox between 8-10pm with a 4.1 18-49 rating. That’s a slight drop from last week’s 4.3 18-49 rating but means it is the lowest in that all important demo, for a Wednesday, for ten years! However, it was still the highest rated show of the evening so Fox can take some comfort from that.

CBS can also take comfort from the fact ratings for Survivor rose slightly with 9.4 million viewers tuning in for the Fans vs Favourites themed season. That worked out with a 2.5 18-49 rating. The Middle meanwhile, on ABC, continued with 8.1 million viewers and a 2.2 rating followed by The Neighbors which had 6.2 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating. Whitney on NBC pulled in 3.2 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 rating while Guys with Kids had 2.9 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. The hour was rounded off by hit drama Arrow on The CW with 3.1 million viewers and a 0.9 18-49 rating.

At 9pm Modern Family on ABC pulled in 10.5 million viewers with a 3.9 18-49 rating followed by Suburgatory which mustered 5.8 million viewers and a 2.0 rating. Criminal Minds on CBS attracted 10.7 million viewers with a 2.7 18-49 rating while veteran crime/legal drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit pulled in 5.7 million viewers with a 1.7 18-49 rating. Supernatural in The CW meanwhile had 2.2 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.

At 10pm CSI had 10.5 million viewers with a 2.3 rating while fire-fighter drama Chicago Fire had 6.4 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating.
