Game of Thrones preview to debut tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The Season three trailer of HBO’s Game of Thrones makes its exclusive world premiere on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight.

A big fan of the series, Kimmel kicks off the countdown to the new season premiere which returns to HBO screens in America on Sunday March 31st. The drama returns to UK screens on Sky Atlantic in April.

The all-new 60-second trailer, that will offer a first look at the action and treachery that continues in the visually stunning series that has become a pop culture phenomenon, makes its first outing on the Kimmel hosted celebrity chat show which airs on ABC.

The host says of the preview, “I am so excited about this trailer, even I might watch my show.”

The trailer will be posted to the Game of Thrones YouTube channel immediately following its east coast debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Based on the popular book series A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R.R. Martin, the Emmy and Golden Globe winning fantasy series Games of Thrones chronicles an epic struggle for power set in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom.

Previous trailers for the third series of the drama have not included any actual footage from the programme, opting instead to feature actors such as Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Fairley, Jack Gleeson, Maisie Williams and Emilia Clarke to promote the series in specially recorded promos (see below).
