Andrew Maybin appointed MD of UTV’s Tibus

Andrew Maybin has been appointed as Managing Director of Tibus, UTV’s digital infrastructure division which provides cloud hosting and high-grade connectivity services to business and public sector clients.

Andrew has held a number of senior roles within Tibus since he joined the company in 2003, most recently as Network Services Director, where he was centrally involved in developing UTV Media’s group technical capability and commercial innovation.

Andrew says: “This is a very exciting time for Tibus as we continue to stimulate our international growth which includes Europe, Australia and the Far East. I look forward to advising our clients on Internet-related technology, including some of the UK and Ireland’s largest brands in media, sport and finance.”

Having graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Law, Andrew began his career with Eircom in 1998 where he established a successful ISP operation in Belfast. He also spent several years with an International IT Consultancy.

Andrew is a highly respected industry spokesperson and current Chairman of key industry body Internet Neutral Exchange (INEX).
