Alan Carr to remain on Channel 4 for further two years

Comedian and presenter Alan Carr is to remain with Channel 4 for at least another two years.

Alan Carr said: “Ecstatic; I really love being part of the Channel 4 family where I can just be myself and let down my hair, what’s left of it!”

Winner of Best Chat Show at the 2012 National Television Awards, Alan Carr: Chatty Man is currently on air on Friday nights. The deal sees the chat show host in an exclusive deal with the broadcaster for another 24 months.

Viewers can expect more unashamedly addictive celeb fuelled antics, mischievous chat, plus top musical performances, as Alan is joined by a plethora of international and home-grown stars from the worlds of music, film, TV and sport.

Alan as well as host of Channel 4 programming is also a popular live comedian with several successful tours to his name.

Justin Gorman, head of entertainment, Channel 4 says, “Alan embodies what is the heart of Channel 4 Entertainment; He’s warm, witty and a little bit wild. We’re really chuffed to bits that he’s staying with us and we look forward to celebrating, over a sherry or two, his 100^th episode of Chatty Man, later in the year.”
