Matt Baker favourite for One Show
The beeb have yet to reveal who is to be the new male co-host of The One Show.
Matt Baker has emerged as the front runner to replace Jason Manford on the long running early evening magazine show, which airs weekday on BBC One.Jason Manford quit the show on Friday after revelations about his personal life were made public.
Matt Baker, who regularly fills in on the show has become the favourite among bookmakers to get the top job. Paddy Power has Matt has the favourite to become the new male host of The One Show and sit beside Alex Jones on the sofa.
Chris Hollins, who also covers is second favourite for the job. It is not known yet when a replacement will be announced.
Alex Jones and Jason Manford took over the hosting duties on the magazine series following the departure to ITV of Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, who attempted to woo viewers to morning show Daybreak. Its safe to say that idea failed for ITV.
