Neil McCormick opens his brand new talk show series in style, with legendary composer, pianist, broadcaster and undisputed master of The Boogie Woogie, Jools Holland as his guest.
In this first episode, Neil probes the UK’s favourite bandleader about his musical influences and his proudest memories. Jools holds the unique status of a man who has performed with legends from every decade of the 20th century. There should be plenty to chat about…
Born in 1958 Holland played as a session musician before finding fame in 1974 with band Squeeze. He began issuing solo records in 1978, releasing an album and several singles through to 1984. By this time he had also joined Tyne Tees Television in Newcastle to co-host the groundbreaking music and comedy series The Tube for Channel 4.
