ABC Renews Revenge, Castle, Scandal and More

Revenge-logoABC has official renewed many of its shows including Revenge, Modern Family and Once Upon A Time.

Soapy drama Revenge starring Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe and Henry Czenry has been renewed for a third season. Revenge’s second season suffered from lower ratings and poor critical reception as it was moved from its popular Wednesday slot to a Sunday evening slot – occupying Desperate Housewives old stomping ground. ABC’s decision to move the drama to Sunday’s was widely criticised by fans but thankfully the drop in ratings hasn’t resulted in the show’s demise. The third season will, however, be without creator Mike Kelley at the helm.

Shonda Rhimes two drama’s Scandal – which hit a ratings high this week – and Grey’s Anatomy have both been renewed by ABC. Despite reports to the contrary Castle is also coming back as are Nashville, Suburgatory, The Middle, Modern Family and Last Man Standing. Fantasy drama Once Upon A Time will be back for a third season and ABC has also picked up its spin-off Once Upon A Time in Wonderland too.
