Lesbian KissA survey on PinkPaper.com reveals that the majority of its readers think that BBC Three’s new lesbian drama Lip Service is realistic. The new drama debuted on BBC Three two weeks ago with nearly 600,000 viewers and is part of the corporations drive to boost its portrayal of lesbians and gay men across its output. However, Lip Service has already attracted controversy for some of the graphic lesbian sex scenes while some viewers have blasted it for being unrealistic.

A survey on the PinkPaper.com though reveals the majority of its readers think Lip Service is realistic. A survey was held on the gay news website for seven days and 57% of those who responded felt the drama was realistic. However, a sizable 43% disagreed labelling the show clichéd. Lip Service stars Ruta Gedmintas, Laura Fraser, Roxanne McKee and Heather Pearce.

Lip Service continues tonight on BBC Three.
