Clint Eastwood criticises gay marriage bans
{jcomments off}Hollywood actor turned director has criticised bans on gay marriage.
The actor has joined several other Hollywood stars who have voiced their support for gay marriage – Kate Winslet and Anne Hathaway just two such stars. In a new interview with GQ magazine the director criticised bans on allowing people to marry.
“These people who are making a big deal about gay marriage? I don’t give a [expletive] about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not? We’re making a big deal out of things we shouldn’t be making a deal out of … Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want.” – Clint Eastwood interviewed by GQ
Several states in America are proposing bans on gay marriage despite the fact that New York has recently legalised such unions. Eastwood is currently promoting the biopic J Edgar based on J. Edgar Hoover, the first director of the FBI who was thought to have been secretly gay.
