Coronation Street actor William Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, has praised next week’s tram crash episodes which mark the Manchester soap’s 50th anniversary.
Coronation Street actor William Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, has praised next week’s tram crash episodes which mark the Manchester soap’s 50th anniversary.
The £1 million stunt will see a tram plough into the street leaving the lives of several residents in danger and wreaking havoc and ruin on some of the street’s iconic locations. The aftermath of the tram-crash will be covered in live episode next Thursday evening.
After a screening for next week’s episodes actor Bill Roache praised them stating.
“I had tears of pride. It’s not only the best thing in Coronation Street ever, I think it’s one of the best things on television ever.” – Bill Roache quoted in The Sun
Coronation Street’s creator Tony Warren was also full of praise for next week’s episode and said:

A week of stunning and dramatic events in Weatherfield kicks off next Monday and producer Phil Collinson has promised fans that the consequences of the tram-crash will be felt on the street for some time.
