Larry Hagman to guest star in Desperate Housewives

Dallas legend Larry Hagman is to guest-star in ABC’s soapy/drama Desperate Housewives.

 

Dallas legend Larry Hagman is to guest-star in ABC’s soapy/drama Desperate Housewives. Hagman will appear in the drama early next year as a love interest of Stella Wingfield (Polly Bergen), the mother of Wisteria Lane’s Lynette (Felicity Huffman). However, Hagman has revealed he has never seen an episode of Desperate Housewives.

 

“I can watch a hundred episodes on my iPad. I never watch television, so I better get started so I can see what the show’s all about.” Larry Hagman quoted on the Hollywood Reporter

 

The veteran actor is best remembered for his role of villainous, scheming and double-crossing JR Ewing in the 1980s super-soap Dallas. Hagman appeared in throughout the entire run of the drama and even crossed over to spin-off Knots Landing on several occasions. He also reprised his role for the 1990s reunion movies. It was recently announced that a revival of Dallas was planned with the new series concentrating on the “next generation” of the Ewing family.
