TNT Still Hoping to Sign Larry Hagman for Dallas Revival

DallasTNT are still hoping to sign a deal with Larry Hagman which would see him reprise his role of the double-crossing JR Ewing for the broadcasters revival of Dallas.

DallasTNT are still in talks with actor Larry Hagman over its planned revival of Dallas. Last month it emerged that Hagman and TNT had hit a stumbling block in negotiations and the broadcaster was preparing to move on with its revival without Hagman. Original Dallas stars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy have already signed up for the revival. The new Dallas will concentrate on the sons of Bobby and JR Ewing – Dallas: The Next Generation so to speak.

However, despite those reports that TNT were prepared to forge ahead without Hagman onboard it has now emerged that talks are still on-going and the broadcaster is hopeful and keen the actor will sign up. After all it would be hard to imagine Dallas without JR scheming, double-crossing and double dealing. The revival of Dallas is being developed for TNT by Cynthia Cidre and follows an unsuccessful attempt several years ago to produce a big-screen remake of the classic 1980s soap.
