Coronation Street has confirmed that actor Charlie Condou will be returning to the Granada soap to reprise his role of Marcus Dent.

 

Coronation Street has confirmed that actor Charlie Condou will be returning to the Granada soap to reprise his role of Marcus Dent. It was reported two weeks ago that the actor was heading back to Weatherfield in a storyline which would see Marcus and ex-boyfriend Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton) rekindle their romance leading to a civil partnership – Corrie’s first gay wedding. While Coronation Street bosses have confirmed the return of Condou they haven’t confirmed the gay wedding plot.

A recent poll by Inside Soap Magazine found its readers wanted lesbian couple Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) to tie the knot in 2011.
