Lacey Turner misses playing Stacey Branning

Actress Lacey Turner has admitted she misses playing Stacey Branning in BBC One soap EastEnders.

Actress Lacey Turner has admitted she misses playing Stacey Branning, nee Slater, in BBC One soap EastEnders. Turner bowed out of the soap on-screen on Christmas Day as she fled Walford leaving her open for a return at some point in the future.

 “It’s been the best six years of my life. I miss it already and I miss playing Stacey. They haven’t killed me off – so you never know.” – Lacey Turner

The actress beat fellow EastEnders actor Steve McFadden, who plays Phil Mitchell, to win the Most Outstanding Serial Drama Performance at last night’s National Television Awards. The soap also won Best Serial Drama beating rivals Coronation Street. The two soaps had big anniversaries last year with EastEnders celebrating tis 25th anniversary and Coronation Street its 50th. However, while the Manchester soap won the award last year it failed to do so again this year – even with its tram crash stunt and hour-long live episode to mark its big anniversary.
