Leslie Charleson returning to General Hospital

Actress Leslie Charleson is heading back to ABC’s daytime soap General Hospital.

The news comes just weeks after Garin Wolf appointment as the daily saga’s new head-writer and signals that the Quartermaines may be about to regain their central position in Port Charles. Soapcentral.com are reporting that Charleson is to return to General Hospital as Monica Quartermaine – six months after her last appearance.

In August last year fans of the soap learned that Charleson was being taken off contract with the ABC series and was being dropped to “recurring status”. The news wouldn’t have come as much surprise seeing as Monica Quatermaine’s presence on screen had been “drying” up with few storylines concerning her. However, that now appears to be changing with Wolf bringing the character back to Port Charles and rumour has it that actor Stuart Damon – who played Alan Quartermaine – is also due to return.
