Former Neighbours actress Holly Valance pregnant

Former Neighbours actress Holly Valance is expecting her first child.

The news was broken – rather earlier than Valance and her husband Nick Candy had hoped – after photographs taken of the actress and singer in a bikini revealed her ‘baby bump’.

Australian publication Women’s Day magazine published images of Valance and Candy enjoying a holiday in Italy, however as well as the sun and the sea it also showed she was clearly pregnant.

The pair had hoped to keep the news private and attempted an injunction on the photos, owned by a London photo agency, however the action was taken too late to stop the images appearing in the Australian magazine.

Justice Michael Pembroke ruled that it was impossible to place an injunction on the photography.

If the objective of the plaintiff is to protect her own opportunity to reveal the fact of her pregnancy at a time of her choosing, then that opportunity has been lost by the events which have occurred. …There is no point in restraining the defendant from further distributing copies that remain as part of the print run for this issue.

Valance and Candy have been married ten months, with their extravagant ceremony taking place in Los Angeles last September. 30-year-old Valance is best known for her role as Felicity Scully in Aussie soap Neighbours where she appeared from 1999 to 2002 and for her single, Kiss Kiss (below)
