Two more returns confirmed for Days of our Lives

Two more fan favourites are returning to NBC soap Days of our Lives.

Entertainment Weekly are reporting that actors Patrick Muldoon and Christie Clark are returning to the NBC soap. The actors will reprise their roles of couple Austin Reed and Carrie Brady. The two actors will begin filming their return to Salem next week and will appear on-screen later this summer. Clark was last in the soap in 2010 but Muldoon last appeared in 1995. Since leaving the soap the actor has appeared in a wide range of roles such as Melrose Place, Starship Troopers and Wicked.

The actors return to Days of our Lives comes as Ken Corday, the soap’s executive producer, is shaking it up. Head-writer Dena Higley has been replaced while it was revealed in June that actors Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn were returning to reprise their roles of ‘super-couple’ Marlena Evans and John Black. Actor Freddie Smith is joining the cast as part of the soaps first same-sex relationship while but actors Crystal Chappell and Louise Sorel have both confirmed they are leaving.
