Antony Cotton signs new Corrie contract

Antony Cotton has signed a new contract to continue playing Sean Tully on Coronation Street.

The actor revealed he had renewed his contract with the ITV soap on Twitter while tweeting about the documentary series The Corrie Years which explores some of the soap’s most memorable storylines.

“I have just signed my 9th contract with the show and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Coronation Street you are amazing.”

Cotton joined the show in 2003 and has since become a fixture playing knicker-stitcher Sean Tully. The characters’ most recent storylines included the return of his partner Marcus Dent and looking after his son Dylan.

While in the soap the actor has also taken part in Soapstar Superstar and presented a short-lived chat-show, That Antony Cotton Show, which was panned by critics.
