Jane Asher is to guest-star in an episode of BBC One’s school drama Waterloo Road.

Digital Spy reports the actress will play a school inspector who turns up to evaluate the school’s progress following its previous problems. The reports suggest the actress will appear in just a single episode of the drama.
Jane Asher previously played Lady Byrne in fellow BBC One drama Holby City and Angel Samson, the glamorous Hotel owner, in Crossroads of 2003.
